Abstract

This article examines the integration of universal values into the religious education curriculum through an interfaith pedagogy approach. In the context of multicultural and multireligious societies, religious education is expected not only to strengthen students’ religious identity but also to shape inclusive, dialogical, and justice-oriented character. This study employs a qualitative-critical approach using literature analysis methods. The analysis focuses on strategies for integrating universal values such as love, justice, peace, and ecological responsibility into the religious education curriculum, as well as the challenges and opportunities of its implementation. The findings indicate that these values can serve as common ground among faith traditions and function as the foundation for a transformative curriculum. Furthermore, the study identifies teacher training, the development of universal value-based modules, and collaboration with interfaith communities as effective strategies to enhance the implementation of interfaith pedagogy. The study recommends a reform of the religious education curriculum that is more contextual, dialogical, and oriented toward social transformation.
